Programme: Erasmus+ Adult Education
Title: Computer Service Training for Personal and Professional Development
Acronym: COMTRAIN
Period: 1/09/2016 - 31/08/2018
Project number: 2016-1-PL01-KA204- 026081
Website: http://comtrainproject.eu/
The COMTRAIN project is a partnership in the framework of the Erasmus+ Adult Education programme. The theme of the project is training in computer services including personal and professional development.
The target group of the project are adults (in particular people over 50 years old) who lack skills in the field of IT service.
In many European countries, training courses related to IT service are organised, which are designed to narrow the digital gap between older and younger generations. The vast majority of these courses aim to provide adult learners with technical skills related to computers and basic software. Adults (especially those over 50) belong to the group of people who find themselves in a difficult situation on the labour market. In connection with the economic crisis, the effects of which are still largely felt, many workers in this age group have lost their jobs and are now unemployed. Adults, in particular those who are struggling with a difficult situation on the labour market (e.g. unemployment) are also at risk of social exclusion and isolation.
The project has been set up in order to support adults in their social and professional development through training in computer services. The aim of the project is to exchange experiences and good practices in the implementation of computer service training courses between the partners and the common creation of a training programme, which takes into account not only computer support, but also the use of social networks. The developed training programme will enable adult participants to acquire social and professional skills.
The training programme will be a pillar for the implementation of training courses by each partner at national level. The training courses will have a follow-up in the form of an online service for adult learners, including practical exercises and useful material for social and professional development. Each outcome of the project will be the result of cooperation at international level and will be uploaded on this website. The website with all results will be maintained at least until the end of the Erasmus+ Programme.
