RoboStellars - Robotic Stars and Planets in Motion for STEM Education
- Programme: Erasmus+
- Action: Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices
- Project reference: 2025-1-IT02-KA220-SCH-000352313
- Start date: 31/08/2025
- Duration: 36 months

RoboStellars builds digital readiness and resilience by bringing educational robotics, programming and AI-based simulations into STEAM learning. The project improves digital pedagogy by giving teachers training and open digital resources, equipping them to integrate emerging technologies into their teaching. Through hands-on robotics activities, students develop the computational thinking, digital literacy and problem-solving skills they will need in the future.
The interactive e-learning toolkit, available in several formats, ensures inclusion and supports students with a range of learning needs. RoboStellars promotes gender equality by encouraging girls to take part in STEM and by reaching under-represented groups through adaptive and assistive technologies. Aligned with the European digital competence frameworks, the project equips teachers and students to navigate digital transformation effectively while building engagement with STEAM education.
Main objectives
- Develop an innovative STEAM-based educational framework bringing together astronomy, robotics and planetary science, fostering interdisciplinary learning for students and teachers.
- Design interactive robotic planetary models that simulate orbital mechanics in the Human Orrery, promoting hands-on, inquiry-based STEM education.
- Provide a multilingual, open-access e-learning platform with lesson plans, coding activities and interdisciplinary resources to support teachers in teaching robotics and astronomy.
- Strengthen digital, coding and scientific literacy through robotics-based learning experiences, increasing students' engagement, motivation and interest in STEM.
- Pilot and evaluate inclusive learning approaches that ensure accessibility and participation for a diverse student body, supporting scalability and long-term adoption.
Results
