Newspiracy is a European project funded by the Erasmus+ programme that began in November 2022. Its main aim is to build critical thinking skills among university lecturers and students at different levels of education, stressing that they need to be critical of the information they receive, since they are the people who will shape tomorrow's society.

To build those critical thinking skills, the project works on the subject of fake news, developing online training and an interactive environment that tackle these issues.

Main work packages

The project is divided into four work packages: project management (WP1), NEWSpiracy in-service training (WP2), the fake news detector interactive environment (WP3) and dissemination and outreach activities (WP4).

Each work package includes a set of activities chosen and shared among all partners according to their expertise: content creation, evaluation (both internal, by the partners, and external, during the piloting phases), and dissemination and impact activities, among others.

A Tutor's handbook in Flipbook format, to train university lecturers.
A Continuing training on an LMS platform with interactive, gamified content to teach students at different levels of education about fake news.
A Interactive environment for writing and commenting on news.
