Gema de Pablo González
Degree in Psychology and PhD in Education from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Advanced Studies Diploma and Master's degree in the Information and Knowledge Society from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. Advanced Master's in Executive and Business Coaching from the Universidad de Salamanca. Double postgraduate qualification as Gender Equality Officer and Gender Equality Trainer (Universidad Antonio de Nebrija, 2019).
Associate Professor in the Interfaculty Department of Developmental and Educational Psychology at the UAM Faculty of Teacher Training, teaching at undergraduate, double-degree and master's level.Since 2000 she has been a founding partner of Jaitek, Tecnología y Formación S.L., a company devoted to innovation projects in training and education. She has been a trustee of Fundación Siglo22 since 2010.
Her career highlights include the projects Enseñar a Aprender, a virtual community of teachers run by Educared (Fundación Telefónica) to promote educational innovation, and Centros Modelo Educared, a project on integrating technology into education and building peer learning networks.
She has also taught on the master's programme "Producción y Gestión de e-Learning" at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid; the specialist programme "Título especialista universitario en aprendizaje y tecnología en educación. Innovación metodológica con TIC" at the Universidad de Comillas; the "Máster y Doctorado en Calidad y Mejora de la Educación" and "Dirección y Gestión de Centros Educativos en el Nuevo Entorno Digital" programmes at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid; and the secondary teacher training master's at the Universidad de Nebrija.
Mariano Sanz Prieto
Telecommunications Engineer from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and PhD in Education from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Master's degree in the Information and Knowledge Society from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
Associate Professor in the Department of Pedagogy at the UAM Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, teaching subjects on the use of technology in education at undergraduate, double-degree and master's level.
Throughout his career he has held management and research roles in national and international projects at Fundesco and European Schoolnet.
Founding partner of Jaitek, Tecnología y Formación S.L. since 2000 and trustee of Fundación Siglo22 since 2011.
Among the projects he has coordinated are Enseñar a Aprender, a virtual community of teachers run by Educared (Fundación Telefónica) to promote educational innovation, and Centros Modelo Educared, a project on integrating technology into education. His areas of expertise include managing ICT training and roll-outs in schools, publications and talks on ICT in education, and taking part in numerous Erasmus+ projects.
Pilar Rodríguez Ramos
Degree in Pedagogy from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a diploma in Speech and Language Therapy from the same university. For more than twenty-five years she has taught pupils with hearing impairments at several schools, above all at the Colegio Hispano Americano de la Palabra in Madrid, where she was also head teacher.
She founded the Colegio Gaudem in Madrid and was its head teacher until June 2012, combining that role with an associate professorship at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, teaching on the Hearing and Language specialism in theUAM teaching degree. She currently teaches at secondary and upper-secondary level at the Colegio Hipatia, part of FUHEM Educación.
Mª Aranzazu Juan-Aracil
Law degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. A practising lawyer with her own firm since 1992, specialising in criminal and family law and in defending women's rights in both fields.
Founding partner and director of Aracil y Monsalvo Abogados and a trustee of Fundación Siglo22.
She is a member of the Coordinadora Estatal de Mujeres Abogadas, the Themis women lawyers' association, the Spanish Association of Family Lawyers and the duty solicitor panel of the Madrid Bar Association.
She has taught on courses, seminars, conferences and training activities on preventing violence against women, family law, criminal law and equality for a range of public and private bodies, including the General Council of the Judiciary, the Women's Institute, the National School of Health, the Instituto Cervantes, the British Embassy, the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, the Regional Health Authority of Valladolid, the Association of Women Lawyers, the Italian Lyceum of Madrid and the UGT trade union.
Javier López Barreira
Degree in Journalism. Trained in film and television at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He currently works as a film and television screenwriter.
In recent years he has run seminars and worked for advertising agencies, numerous production companies and businesses across the audiovisual sector.
His credits include films such as Las aventuras de Tadeo Jons - which won him the Goya for Best Adapted Screenplay -, Atrapa la bandera o Tadeo Jons 2, el secreto del rey Midas. He is also the author of the book: Occidente, llorarás por mí.
Carmen Vieites Conde
She is a teacher specialising in early years education. From a very young age she was aware of the discrimination faced by women and vulnerable groups, and soon became active in social movements (she chaired the Asociación Socaliña, part of the Federation of Progressive Women).She was also active in politics and in the trade union movement (FETE, the UGT teachers' federation), where she successively headed Communication and Institutional Affairs (Galicia) and, at national level, Public Education, Social Policy, and International Relations, Cooperation and Institutional Affairs. She has also served on the Educared Council of Fundación Telefónica, as a trustee of the Trade Union Institute for Development Cooperation and as a member of the State School Council.
She currently sits on the Advisory Council of the 2021 Educational Goals of the Organisation of Ibero-American States (OEI) and works with the FAD Foundation on the ACCIÓN MAGISTRAL project. Looking back, the most rewarding parts of her career have been classroom teaching and taking part in educational projects with Education International in both Latin America and Africa using new technologies, which multiplied the reach of that work. Also of note is the EducaIgualdad project with Fundación Telefónica on the gender perspective, and the launch of the Network of Women Teachers of Latin America, which is delivering training, visibility and empowerment for women on a continent marked by deep inequality.
Mª José Álvarez Barrio
Teaching diploma (pre-school) in 1992 and a degree in Physical Education in 1996. Advanced Studies Diploma through the doctoral programme in Psychological Development and School Learning, Department of Developmental and Educational Psychology at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, in 2011. Specialist qualification in university teaching.
Instructor and coach training through various sports federations, plus numerous courses in fields related to movement and body expression (ballroom and international dance, indoor cycling, aerobics, fitness and so on).
Lecturer in Body Expression on the Physical Education diploma and the Sport Sciences degree (now a bachelor's programme) at the UAM Faculty of Teacher Training and Education.
Vice-Dean for University Outreach, Cooperation and Culture from 2014 to 2018, and Vice-Dean for Equality, Social Responsibility and Cultural Policy from 2018 to 2019, at the UAM Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. First prize at the Prodeporte awards, Physical Education Teacher category, Prodeporte Gala, Coplef, Madrid, 2018. She has published and carried out research on body expression, health, physical activity and education.Beatriz Melgares Luna
Degree in Text-Based Acting from the Málaga School of Dramatic Art. She began her stage career at the age of 13 at the Marbella Conservatory of Music and Dance. Alongside acting she has studied voice, dubbing, verse, film, body expression, contemporary dance and flamenco. She has trained with professionals such as Jorge Eines and Andrés Lima, among others.On stage, her work at the CENTRO DRAMÁTICO NACIONAL stands out, with “1941, Bodas de Sangre” (directed by Jorge Eines) and “Fando y Lis” (festival awards and national and international tours), among others.
On screen, she has led numerous short films such as Saber Perder and Ensalada de atún crudo, and the feature film Crisis, la película. She is a dubbing actress for film, television and video games (Disney, Fox, Paramount, RTVE, Netflix, HBO, Clan TV, Avalon, Comedy Central and others).
As a voice artist she has worked on audiovisual and theatre projects, corporate videos, audiobooks, audio fiction, podcasts, reality shows and advertising campaigns, and has presented and reported for the HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS and for HBO Spain. She is currently the founder of her own theatre company and audiovisual production house, “LA JARTÁ”, producing stage shows and screen projects.
Sergio Milán
Sergio Milán studied filmmaking at the SEPTIMA ARS school and acting with JORGE EINES, among other schools. He has written and directed several short films, notably Vagón 9/Acto Primero, Daños Colaterales, Ensalada de atún crudo and the viral Para Sonia. His latest short film is Saber Perder.
His latest short film Saber Perder has won, among others, the Best Screenplay and Distribution awards at the latest edition of "Notodofilmfest", as well as the Audience Award at the Elche, Ávila and Korterraza Gasteiz festivals.He currently teaches acting at the ECE and JORGE EINES schools and contributes to the radio programme BUTACA Y BUTACÓN. The advertising web series #CHATEEMOS, which Sergio co-wrote and co-directed, has just been released.
