STEAMitUP is a European project funded by the Erasmus+ programme that creates an education programme to encourage STEAM learning (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) through new technologies, from the first year of primary school to the last year of secondary.

The main output of this project, which began in November 2019, is an e-learning platform. It includes a handbook for teachers on STEAM teaching and on using the platform, along with resources and tools that let teachers create their own materials tailored to their teaching. The available material includes resources for theme days, workshops and lesson plans combining theory and practice.

STEAMitUp

The aim is, on the one hand, to train teachers in STEAM pedagogy and, on the other, to motivate pupils to engage with these subjects. The project will also have an impact on other skills for pupils and teachers alike: digital ability, creativity, problem solving, collaboration and teamwork.

Results

Toolkit: a kit of STEAM educational resources with guidance on using them, produced by all the partners on the basis of an analysis of the STEAM situation in each country.
E-learning platform: a virtual learning platform hosting all the kit's resources and tools, plus the guidance and the various teaching materials.
Impact assessment: an evaluation and analysis of the project's impact, together with practical recommendations.
Policy Report: a report with policy recommendations and guidance on using the project's outputs.
