SKILLS 3.0 is a European project funded by the Erasmus+ programme that began in November 2023, and this is already its third edition. Siglo22 also took part in the second edition of this project in 2018. Its main aim is to improve employment opportunities for young adults and adults with work-related disabilities in the labour market.

To that end, the project showcases the skills and competences of people with disabilities through national and European skills competitions, building their self-confidence and providing work-based learning and basic skills training.

Main objectives

  • Build participants' self-confidence through work-based learning, improve the knowledge and basic skills training of people with work-related disabilities, and give them the skills they need to enter the open labour market.
  • Encourage more organisations, across employment and education, to take part in the national competitions by providing a tailored participation guide.
  • Create an online learning community where students, teachers, staff and external stakeholders engage with the cultural shifts needed in the way people produce and communicate information.
  • Raise awareness among 100 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) about adapting the workplace to the needs of people with disabilities.

Results

  • Digital handbook for participants on why and how to take part in the Skills+ competitions
  • Skills+ competitions at national and European level. This output covers the development and running of the competitions
  • A set of practical tools for an inclusive workplace through reasonable adjustments
