ART is a European project funded by the Erasmus+ programme whose aim is to make museums and other cultural institutions more accessible to students aged 8 to 16 through virtual reality.

It has four outputs: a research study with experts in educational innovation; a baseline and progress questionnaire; an online platform hosting virtual reality material developed for museums along with VR teaching materials; and a piloting phase.

ART

In this way the project helps students gain cultural, artistic and historical knowledge, while developing critical thinking skills and fostering respect and tolerance in the classroom.

Results

Research study: a discussion involving between 2 and 5 experts in educational innovation from each partner country, through the EPALE platform..
Questionnaire: a baseline and progress questionnaire on students' knowledge (and behaviour) regarding global citizenship and why it matters across every setting.
Online platform: to host the teaching materials, the baseline and progress questionnaire, the ART handbook and other relevant project reports and documentation.
Piloting phase: teachers who have completed the training will test the VR teaching materials in their own lessons and courses.
